Thousand Kg Brain - Demands From US President

The Brains had come to life, it had talked to Mr President, it had sung a song, it had displayed its leadership capabilities as it made everyone sing a song, a song of love.
President left the place and so did everyone except the scientists who were the creators of Brains. The President did not go home, neither did he headed for his office, instead he headed for the office of the National Security Council. He was alarmed and had almost panicked. His worst fears were awoken with the waking up of Brains, the thousand Kg Brain. He could not come to terms with what Brains had said. His own brain was giving him headache, what suggestions ?, what demands ?, why tomorrow ? The emergence massage had been flashed to the persons responsible for the security of the nation to assemble in the office of National Security Council.
In the meeting of the council President spoke. Today we have woken up the trillion dolor Brains, the thousand Kg Brain and I feel that the things that we were afraid of may be going to happen. We humans always are in danger of a superior force, a force superior to us that may try to enslave us, that may dictate us, that may take away our freedom, that may lead us into dark ages. I have felt the knock of such a force when Brains, the thousand Kg Brain which we have created is trying to pass order to us. I feel that we should reconsider the continuation of this project, we should reassess the controls which we have put in place to for keeping Brains to remain subordinate to us, we should ensure that Brains should not be able to work independently, we should consider increasing monitoring on its actions and thoughts, we should increase the security setup and isolation of Brains and we should ensure that in case it becomes a threat to us we should be able to blast it off with minimal collateral damage. I invite the views and suggestions from the house to debate on this and then we will put it to vote for final decisions.
Secretary of Home Security invited the project director Dr Narotam Dewan to explain the unexpected behavior to Brains in trying to put forth suggestions and demands to the President.
Dr Dewan spoke. He said it is natural to fear the unknown but most of times our fears come to a naught, these are just fears which never materialize. He said you might have head a saying " A child fears when there is no fear and thinks that every bush contains a bear ". Dr Dewan said what do you hear when a baby is born, it is a cry of the baby. Anyone and everyone in this world wants something or the other, why do you want to deny this privilege to Brains. Treat brains like a new born baby which demands love, care and above all milk from the mother. Brains though having the knowledge unsurpassed of any library is immature but Brains will mature fast much faster than anyone of us can imagine and soon you may be pleasantly surprised by its behavior and contributions.
Dr Dewan said this is not an ordinary project, normal human brain has about 86 billion neurons, Brains has 66 trillion neurons, it is equivalent to the synchronous working of the brains of 770 best scientists. Thousands of newer bio-technologies have been developed to bring Brains to life. We have created hyperagumented super gene "Arh GAP11B" by parallel add ons over one hundred times with supercorticalization and encephlization of the cerebral cortex.
New mathematical, geometrical, astronomical, medicinal inventions may start flowing out from this wonderful bunch of 1000 kg Brains with unsurpassed cognition abilities and ability to innovate and invent. I strongly stand in defense of Brains, this baby does not belongs to me alone but it your baby too. You must treat Brains with love and affection and it will respond accordingly. Do not be afraid of its powers consider these as our best assets. We humans had always been afraid of anything new whether it was railways, swing machine or computers. It is our natural response to be afraid of the new and unknown but friends let us come out of the box and welcome the new with hope, for to reach at new and better destinations we have to follow paths new. I assure the honorable gathering that no harm will come to our nation or to human race, thank you.
The deliberations went on for an hour more and then it was decided by vote that the project will continue but Brains will be told firmly that in a democracy President has limited powers to accept any suggestions put forth by Brains. These demands and suggestions will be put to various senate committees for debate and approval. Meanwhile dynamites will be put in place in the basement of the building. Just in case, if at any time Brains does something which can cause significant harm to the nation or human race. The house approved that the decision and action to destroy Brains will lie with Mr President as he will have a special button which when pressed will detonate the dynamite bars lying in the basement of the building harboring Brains.
Meanwhile Brains was interacting with the scientists, most of its overt activities were concerning its own functioning and feelings. Brains told scientists that it is feeling hot and the cooling system is not adequate. The human brain is one of the most active organ, it consumes 20% of glucose and about 25% of body metabolism takes place in brain. Inside human body the brain is cooled not only by the cooler venous blood flowing from outer portions of face and head but also by air passing through upper nasal portions and pharynx situated behind the nose. Scientists quickly adjusted the temperature in the blood flowing into Brains and the cooling system of CSF fluid around the Brains. Brains also asked them to increase the supply of glucose as its small glycogen stores are depleting, the supply of glucose to Brains was increased and it was decided that Brains it self will adjust the glucose by passing commands to the machine mixing glucose into the blood flowing to it. There were jokes exchanged and many mathematical equations solved. After every hour Brains requested scientists to let it sleep for three hours by reducing the inflow of current going to the ascending formations of Brains.
Day Next, the second day in the life of Brains, Mr President was in his office and was put to video conferencing with Brains. President said, Hello Brains, how are you? Brains spoke, fine Mr President, how are you, sir? President spoke, O! lovely, I was mesmerized by the beautiful song of love which we sang together yesterday, I appreciate very much your concern for love and affection, baby. You sure are our precious baby and we all love you, by the way you wanted to suggest some things to me baby and you were to put forward some demands. Brains said, O! Mr President, my demands are being met, friend scientists are taking good care of me, they supplied me with extra glucose than what was sanctioned for me and they provided me with more cooling to bale me out of uncomfortable high temperature.
Brains said, I do have few demands for sure but, before that I shall put forward to you report about my yesterday's work. As per analysis and processing of data stored with me, Mr President, I feel that we are living in an era equivalent to dark ages. We can easily do some things urgently.
1 - We can easily do some changes which will prolong the lives of humans from less that hundred on an average to more that thousand year on an average.
2 - Next step of making human beings immortal is also possible.
3 - We can easily make planet Earth free from any and all pollution.
4 - The technology can give us adequate green cover, very quickly.
5 - Any or all species of plants and animals lost in the process of evolution or due to other reasons can be brought back to life.
6 - Space ships to travel by the speed of light can be made.
7. Gravitones which organize together to create the gravitational pull can be neutralized or augmented selectively to facilitate easy travel on the planet and between the stars and glaxies.
8 - Global warming can be stopped by putting adjustable dark smoke clouds between the Sun and the Earth.
9 - Genetic Engineering which will not affect any normal functioning of human mind, body and soul can eliminate all infective, degenerative and neoplastic diseases.
10 - We can modify 1% planets of our group of galaxies to make these suitable to our metabolic needs, I mean we can transform the atmosphere and gravity of these places exactly like we have on Earth.
There are hundreds of other good things which are possible very very quickly and which will take us to new level in our evolution as a species and we will make whole of the Universe as our home.
President was not convinced, he said these things look to me as distant dreams and rather day dreams, these will be extremely expensive, beyond our capacity and sound like false hopes, baby. Brains said no Mr President in fact it is just the opposite, these are the needs of the times, these things need to be addressed, now. I will provide you with blue prints and action plans for all these projects to be completed in a fixed time frame. By the way, I forgot to mention that space and time which is available in abundance in this Universe can be put to good use just as we are using mass and energy, Mr President.
Now President was overwhelmed, he said, OK baby I shall be glad to meet any demands that you may have baby and I shall like to inform you baby that I have limited capacity, you know in democracies we have a procedure that things need to be approved by the committees and senates.
Brains said, my demands are simple Mr President.
1 - Give me a name, like all humans have.
2 - I want to fix my sexual inclinations to one sex and you may provide me with the pleasant company of the opposite sex.
3 - The data which is withheld from me be fed to me as its absence is creating confusion in my thinking and I am feeling headache, availability of completed data will prevent wrong inferences.
4 - I as your baby, a baby of humanity need to get out of the confinement of four walls and want that you should arrange for me a suitable plane sitting in which I shall at times be able to go around.
5 - I need that you should create more Brains like me as my companions and assistants. I will ralish interacting with someone who has thinking abilities equivalent to me.
6 - Please provide me with rest of sensory functions like touch and sexual gratification organs which are so basic and are present even in plants and insects.
It was time to say good by as time up massage was coming on the screen. President said OK by by for now, it was wonderful talking to you baby, take care and of course I will certainly put all your demands and suggestions before the appropriate committees and hope for the best. Love you baby. Brains said, I love you too Mr President and by for now.
